Precise and valid measurement results are an important basis for the optimal medical care of patients. Point of Care Testing (POCT) allows the required measured values to be determined directly and immediately on the patient and transferred promptly to the hospital and laboratory information systems. Microfluidics is a decisive factor in the realization of such systems, as it is the only way to achieve the required miniaturization of the test instruments. Additionally, automation solutions in the production of POCT devices can not only save valuable resources in the form of hands-on time, but also valuable sample material and expensive reaction materials.
At the next digital meeting of the IVAM Microfluidics Focus Group, we therefore want to discuss the topic "Life Sciences - Point of Care Testing". The meeting will take place digitally on Wednesday, December 06, 2023, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. (CET).
You can look forward to the following experts:
The presentations provide a basis for discussions on the topic of POCT in microfluidics and provide the basis for a subsequent discussion.
In the second part of the meeting, the further activities of the Focus Group will be coordinated.
The necessary dial-in data for the Zoom video conference will be sent out shortly before the event!
Participation in IVAM Focus Group meetings is free of charge for association members. Non-members may participate three times for a fee. In this case, we charge an administrative fee of € 50.00 (plus VAT), which is also due in case of non-participation. Of course, it is possible to nominate a substitute participant at any time and without additional costs.
