The IVAM Microtechnology Network will be represented for the first time with its own joint pavilion at XPONENTIAL Europe 2026 in Düsseldorf. With this presence, the international industry association provides a platform for high-tech companies and research institutions to showcase their expertise in forward-looking technology fields.
XPONENTIAL Europe is the new leading European trade fair for autonomous technologies and robotics across air, land, sea and space. As the European counterpart of the major US event, it brings together developers, technology providers, research organizations and user industries from across Europe and beyond. The focus is on applications in mobility, industry, logistics, energy and security.
With the joint pavilion, IVAM brings together expertise in areas such as microsystems technology, sensor systems, robotics, communication technologies, embedded systems, and miniaturized energy and drive solutions. The participating companies and institutes represent key enabling technologies that are essential for autonomous systems and intelligent applications.
The joint presence highlights IVAM’s role as an international network for microtechnology and related fields such as MEMS, nanotechnology, advanced materials, micro-optics and photonics, sensor technology and metrology, as well as printed and organic electronics. The aim is to make innovations visible and to strengthen exchange within the industry.
At the IVAM joint pavilion, companies and research institutions with complementary technological profiles will be presenting their solutions:
Auerhammer Metallwerk GmbH / Wickeder Group is expert in ultra-thin precision metal foils, clad materials, thermobimetals and high-performance metal strips for demanding applications in sensor technology, energy, medical engineering and aerospace.
The Fraunhofer Institute for Reliability and Microintegration IZM will present solutions for microsystem integration, heterosystem integration, wafer-level packaging, as well as reliability assessments and prototype development.
Sandvik Osprey Ltd (UK) will introduce so-called Controlled Expansion Alloys with tailored thermal properties, particularly suited for high-precision imaging and sensor components.
The Teaching Factory Competence Center from Greece contributes its expertise in technology transfer, Industry 4.0 innovation, and fostering collaboration between academia and industry.
IVAM itself will also be present on site as an international industry association, providing information about its global network and its activities supporting microtechnology and related key enabling technologies.
