Schweizer Hightech-Branche möchten Verhältnis zur EU weiter über bilaterale Verträge regeln

The majority of Swiss organizations would like to see their country’s relationship with the EU regulated through bilateral treaties in future. One third would prefer an institutional framework agreement. Only a quarter would welcome full EU membership.
 
Full EU membership and joining the euro zone might bring benefits for microtechnology companies in Switzerland, e.g. make it easier to obtain work permits and negotiate trade agreements, but also increase export, which is being inhibited by the strong Swiss franc. Full EU membership, however, is not likely to find the approval of a majority of Swiss citizens.
 
No Swiss company or institute wants complete independence from the EU.
