Sensor technology is a key factor for the digital digital transformation of our society.
Which developments will have shaped sensor technology by 2030? Which technologies will be particularly relevant for industry, research and applications? These questions form the basis of the new study “Sensor Trends 2030”, which was published by the AMA Association for Sensor and Measurement Technology in collaboration with the VDI.

Discuss the present and future of the sensor industry with other IVAM and detect members at the second digital meeting of the Focus group Sensors on Tuesday, June 17, 2024 from 12:00 pm to 1:30 pm (CEST).

Packaging, Manufacturing Technologies, and Sensor at Extremes

Professor Klaus Drese (ISAT Coburg), head of the ‘Sensor Trends 2030’ study, will open the event by providing a first overview of the key technological and economic trends, as well as driving factors in sensor technology.

Professor Marc Wurz (Leibniz University Hannover, Institute of Micro Production Technology) will then provide a detailed insight into the study's focus on packaging, manufacturing technologies, and MEMS systems — a highly relevant area for industrial sensor applications under extreme conditions.

The second part of the meeting will plan the future activities of the focus group.

Participation in IVAM Focus Group meetings is free of charge for association members. Non-members may attend three times for a fee. In this case, we charge an administrative fee of € 50.00 (plus VAT), which is also due in case of non-participation. Of course, it is possible to nominate a substitute participant at any time and without additional costs.
