Plan Optik AG is now certified according to the Technical Specification TS 16949, which is an internationally recognized quality standard established within the automotive industry. It aims at optimizing the system’s quality in the supply chain: by prevention or early discovery of faults and risks in the production process and the supply system as well as determination of the reasons for these problems and design and implementation of remedies.
TS 16949 focuses on the prevention of failures and not just on the correction of problems evolving from poor design or management systems. In this respect the specification exceeds previous quality standards such as VDA 6.1 or QS-9000. Plan Optik AG is now highly certified and a recognized Original Equipment Manufacturers’ supplier. As part of the standard the audit proofed the purchasing of the correct raw materials to the approved specifications as well as delivery within the specified delivery schedules.
