FISBA, a global leader in precision micro-optics, beam shaping, and laser modules, introduces READYFlow, a compact and modular “one-box” solution designed to meet the demanding requirements of next-generation flow cytometry. READYFlow delivers application-specific laser illumination with exceptional beam uniformity, long-term stability, and multi-wavelength compatibility—all in a flexible, integrator-friendly design.

Outstanding Technical Performance

READYFlow supports standard cytometry wavelengths such as 488 nm, 561 nm, and 640 nm, while offering mechanical and optical customization for seamless integration into compact instrument architectures. The system can be combined with FISBA’s existing READYSpot solutions or used with third-party laser sources, providing maximum flexibility for system designers.

Key Technical Features

  • Constant Power Across the Flow Cell: The top-hat beam profile ensures uniform excitation and consistent signal strength.
  • Pre-Adjusted Spot Geometry: Line shape, spacing, and working distance are tailored to the customer’s flow cell specifications.
  • Simplified Alignment: An optimized optical design minimizes sensitivity to positioning, enabling easy x/y/z adjustment in front of the flow cell.
  • Wavelength Flexibility: Supports single or multiple wavelength configurations for multiplexed assays.
  • Compact, Rigid Housing: Guarantees long-term stability and straightforward mechanical integration.

The Importance of the Top-Hat Beam Profile

Accurate light–cell interaction is essential for reliable flow cytometry data. Unlike Gaussian beams that peak at the center and taper off, top-hat beams provide uniform intensity across the entire beam cross-section. This uniformity ensures consistent illumination of each cell, resulting in greater measurement accuracy and reproducibility.

READYFlow is available with both Gaussian and top-hat beam profiles, allowing users to choose the illumination format best suited to their application. Its modular design supports rapid prototyping and scalable production—ideal for both R&D environments and OEM product platforms.
