On June 22 and 23, 2026, the European high-tech community will gather in Leiden, the Netherlands, for the IVAM Hightech Summit 2026. Under the guiding topic “Inside Life – Engineering our Future,” this leading microtechnology conference will spotlight technological innovations that are sustainably transforming biology, medicine, and industrial value creation. The Summit brings together experts from research, development, and industry, offering a platform for exchange, collaboration, and market access within the dynamic life-science environment.
For the first time hosted in the Netherlands, the summit highlights cutting-edge innovations in life sciences, microtechnology, photonics, and advanced manufacturing.
The IVAM Hightech Summit 2026 brings together leading experts in microtechnology, photonics, nanotechnology, and life sciences to explore how high-tech innovations are transforming healthcare and industry. Under the theme “Inside Life – Engineering our Future,” the program highlights advances in microfluidics, BioMEMS, intelligent sensor systems, photonic technologies, and AI-driven analytics. Topics such as personalized medicine, point-of-care diagnostics, edge AI, quantum technologies, and next-generation optical and sensor solutions demonstrate how data-driven technologies are creating new insights into biological processes. The agenda also features inspiring keynote speeches on European high-tech champions and the future impact of quantum computing on life sciences and healthcare.
In addition to cutting-edge technologies, the summit focuses on the path from innovation to successful commercialization. Sessions on regulation, IP strategies, industrialization, and scalable manufacturing examine how companies can efficiently transform life-science innovations into market-ready products. Further highlights include advanced materials, precision manufacturing, sustainable production methods, and collaborative innovation between research institutions, startups, and industry leaders. The program is complemented by a technical exhibition, interactive hands-on sessions, workshops, and extensive networking opportunities designed to foster international exchange within the European high-tech community.
In addition to the conference program with six technological sessions, the Summit offers a technical exhibition, an interactive hands-on session “Life Science Applications,” and high-level keynotes on the topic “Future of Life Science.” A special highlight is the large evening event, providing space for intensive networking in a relaxed atmosphere. A diverse supporting program — including a museum tour, cheese tasting, and a cornhole play area — further encourages informal exchange among participants.
