KITECH (www.kitech.re.kr) supports small and medium-sized enterprises in Korea in the implementation of new high technologies. The institute maintains several research centers in Korea focusing on areas such as production technology, microsystems technology and robotics. About 300 companies and institutes working in the areas of microtechnology, nanotechnology and advanced materials are organized under the roof of IVAM.
“South Korea is a worldwide leader in some high-tech areas such as flat panel displays, and benefits from the proximity to numerous interesting markets in Asia like China. The members of the IVAM Microtechnology Network offer high-tech products that match the Korean interests“, states IVAM Managing Director Dr. Uwe Kleinkes, “We believe that both sides will benefit very much from this cooperation. One advantage for the IVAM members will be the good visibility in the Korean market”, says Kleinkes.
